NSLP Farm to School & Local Procurement Listening Session

Thursday, April 16, 1:00 pm – 2:15 pm

Tuesday, April 21, 1:30 pm – 2:45 pm

Wednesday, April 22, 2:00 pm – 3:15 pm

Target Audience: National School Lunch Program (NSLP) Operators, School Nutrition Directors, and Procurement Staff from schools not operating under a Food Service Management Company (FSMC) or catering contract

The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), in partnership with the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) and the Arizona Department of Agriculture (AZDA), is working to develop Farm to School and Local Procurement resources.

ADHS is hosting small-group virtual listening sessions to better understand how local purchasing fits into school district procurement systems. You are invited to share your experiences, insights, and challenges to help inform tools and resources that better support your work.

During this listening session, you will have the opportunity to:

Share how local procurement currently fits into your district processes
Identify challenges and opportunities in sourcing local foods
Provide feedback to inform future tools and resources
Connect with partners working to support Farm to School efforts statewide
