Arizona Allocates $6.75million For Free School Meals

The Arizona Department of Education has allocated $6.75 million in pandemic relief funds to provide free meals to students who qualify for reduced-cost school meals. “We all know it’s harder for our students to succeed when they are hungry,” said Melissa Sadorf, superintendent of the Stanfield Elementary School District, adding that providing nutritious meals can help address “mental health issues, impaired cognitive development and other chronic health conditions like diabetes.”
