Stephen Protz

SNAAZ President

Greetings SNAAZ members, if you haven’t heard yet, we made the decision to have our 65th Annual State Conference virtual again this year. Be sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, September 25, 2021. This year’s theme is “SNAAZ CONTINUES TO BE MARVELOUS.” As we start the 2021-2022 school year, we are aware of the new challenges with COVID-19 Delta strain on the rise and we want to be sure that all our members and their families stay safe, so we opted for a virtual version instead of live in-person. This was not an easy decision because we really wanted to be face-to-face again.

Rick Hall

SNAAZ Conference Chair

It’s hard to believe that we are not completely through the effects of COVID on our schools and our association and its conferences. We were in great hopes that this will be our last year virtually and starting in 2022 we can go back to meeting in person again. That all being said we wanted to be sure that our members were safe, so we have chosen the virtual option once more.
This year’s annual state conference planning committee has done a tremendous job in putting together for you a fun filled packed day of information and educational opportunities.

The summer heat has been blazing, but at SNAAZ we’re ON FIRE with conference planning. Yes, we certainly sizzle, but we also have the “coolest” members around. To celebrate you, the conference committee has been planning to let the good times roll at our 67th Annual State Conference. The committee has some awesome plans up their sleeves for rolling out a parade of great education breakouts.

In addition to some great pre-conference sessions and our Saturday breakout education sessions you will have the opportunity to check out the wonderful exhibit hall packed full of new ideas, goods, and services to help make your child nutrition program cutting edge for the students you serve throughout the state of Arizona.Whether you are a director, supervisor, cafeteria manager, frontline staff, or central office/warehouse staff there is something for each of you!

We are a state affiliate to the School Nutrition Association (SNA), which represents over 55,000 individuals who have made a commitment to child nutrition.
